Wilson-Deblois Award
Congratulations to Nancy Picard, this year's recipient of the Wilson-DeBlois Award. This award is given annualy by the Graduate Student Council to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to graduate students.

2008-09 Mellon Graduate Workshops
The Graduate School has received a $571,000 grant to support dissertation workshops in the humanities and social sciences.
Nate Walker spent five years teaching in the Detroit Public School District. Now he and a group of community organizers from Detroit want to start their own school — and Walker has came to Brown to figure out the best way to do it.
